Amazon CEO Andy Jassy is betting that generative AI will change how the corporate thinks about its workforce sooner or later.
Jassy stated that as the corporate continues to roll out extra AI brokers, and thus change how the corporate’s work is completed, he expects Amazon will cut back the variety of company jobs wanted sooner or later, in accordance with a memo that was first covered by CNBC.
“We are going to want fewer folks doing among the jobs which can be being executed in the present day, and extra folks doing different varieties of jobs,” Jassy wrote within the memo.
He added that the dimensions of this future discount of workforce is tough to estimate.
A latest survey from the World Financial Discussion board discovered that potential reductions in workforce as a consequence of AI could already be taking place. The survey discovered that 40% of employers plan to chop workers which can be doing roles that may be automated by AI.
