French authorities have arrested a Russian skilled basketball participant who’s accused of being a member of a ransomware gang, in response to newswire Agence France-Presse.
Daniil Kasatkin performs for MBA Moscow, a staff that’s a part of the VTB United League, which contains principally Russian golf equipment in addition to one staff from Belarus and Kazakhstan. Kasatkin briefly performed for Penn State in the course of the 2018-2019 season.
The AFP reported that U.S. authorities consider Kasatkin moonlit as a ransomware hacker. Kasatkin was arrested at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on June 21.
Kasatkin’s lawyer Frederic Belot informed the AFP that his shopper is harmless.
“He purchased a used pc. He did completely nothing flawed. He’s shocked,” Belot informed AFP.
“He’s ineffective with computer systems. He can’t even set up an app. He didn’t contact something on this pc. It was both hacked, or offered to him by a hacker who wished to move himself off as another person.”
