Intel’s new CEO Lip-Bu Tan wasted no time laying out his plans for the semiconductor big.
Talking on the Intel Imaginative and prescient convention this week, Tan advised attendees that the corporate will spin off property that aren’t core to its mission, Bloomberg reported. Tan didn’t specify what was labeled as core and non-core to the corporate’s enterprise.
Intel will even launch new merchandise together with customized semiconductors for patrons, Tan added. However he made no point out of breaking apart the corporate, based on Bloomberg, which was a potential turnaround strategy floated in latest months.
Tan was named Intel’s CEO on March 12 and assumed the position on March 18, just a little over three months after former CEO Pat Gelsinger was pressured out of the position on December 1. Beforehand, Tan was a member of the corporate’s board of administrators earlier than resigning late final August.
