Report: OpenAI’s ex-CTO, Mira Murati, has recruited OpenAI co-founder John Schulman | TechCrunch


OpenAI co-founder John Schulman, who left AI firm Anthropic earlier this week after a mere 5 months, is reportedly becoming a member of former OpenAI CTO Mira Murati’s secretive new startup, per Fortune.

It’s not clear what Schulman’s function there will probably be. Fortune wasn’t in a position to study that data, and Murati has been tight-lipped concerning the enterprise since she left OpenAI in September. However one supply did disclose to Fortune that Murati has recruited further ex-OpenAI employees, together with Christian Gibson, who had been serving on OpenAI’s supercomputing crew.

Murati was reportedly in talks to lift over $100 million for her firm in October.

Credited as one of many main architects of ChatGPT, Schulman left OpenAI final August for Anthropic.
